Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Part-Time IT Technician to join our team. The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to our staff and students. The role will involve diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide timely technical support to staff and students for hardware and software issues.
● Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues related to laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, and
other peripherals.
● Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and hardware.
● Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
● Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless operation of technology
systems.
● Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
● Assist with technology upgrades, installations, and deployment projects.
● Ensure compliance with IT policies, data security, and best practices.
● Conduct regular maintenance and updates to IT equipment.
● Provide guidance and training on the use of IT tools and resources.
● Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● Previous experience as an IT Technician or in a similar technical support role.
● Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software
troubleshooting.
● Experience with technology maintenance and troubleshooting.
● Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms is a plus.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with non-technical users.
● Ability to lift and carry IT equipment when needed.
Education and Certifications:
● A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but
not required.
● Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
are a plus.
Work Hours:
● Part-time, flexible hours (approximately 15-20 hours per week).
● Availability to work some evening hours if needed.
