IT Helpdesk Technician

Ross-Simons is looking for an enthusiastic IT Helpdesk Technician with a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional user support. This is a great opportunity to advance your IT career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

What You’ll Do:

As the first point of contact for technical support, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. You'll assist users with a variety of technical issues, maintain IT equipment, and help enforce security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Provide end-user support in person, over the phone, and through email/chat.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain hardware, software, and basic network systems.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain user devices and peripherals.
  • Document solutions and contribute to internal knowledge resources.
  • Support onboarding of new employees and assist with IT-related setup.
  • Help maintain IT inventory and support basic printer and VoIP phone troubleshooting.
  • Promote and uphold cybersecurity practices and policies.

 

Tools & Technologies You’ll Use:

  • Windows and macOS
  • Microsoft Office 365 management
  • Active Directory
  • VPN and MDM software
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) systems
  • Atlassian JIRA

 

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years in a helpdesk or technical support role
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software
  • Familiarity with basic networking, client/server environments, and MFA systems
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage time and prioritize effectively
