Human Resources Intern

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Company: Mersino Water Solutions 

We move water! Mersino offers dewatering, bypass pumping, one-pass trenching and power generation to corporations, construction, and municipalities across the globe. Mersino is the only dewatering company with extensive experience in all methods of dewatering including deep well dewatering, wellpoint dewatering, trenched tile collection systems and sock dewatering as well as educator well dewatering. 

Duration: Paid, 12-week internship, 40 hours/week

Job Description: The Human Resources Intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely alongside experienced professionals and mentors with the opportunity to work on meaningful projects including but not limited to HR dashboards, recruitment analytics, branding, and candidate experience.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance HR dashboards to provide real-time insights into key metrics such as headcount, turnover, hiring trends, employee engagement, and compliance indicators
  • Organize and support projects including conducting HR research, benchmarking, creating presentations, and developing policies
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including posting job openings, reviewing resumes and scheduling interviews
  • At the end of the internship, you’ll present your work to the company’s C-Suite members

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Previous internship experience is a plus
