Campus Engagement Coordinator

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
 

  • Plan and execute on-campus events, including student life activities, recruitment events, orientations, and other student-centric initiatives.
  • Partner with campus organizations, student government, and other university departments to co-sponsor and participate in relevant campus events.
  • Serve as the credit union's primary representative at JSU, building relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Support philanthropic activities and sponsorships that strengthen the credit union's connection to JSU students and enhance the credit union's community presence.
  • Promote membership benefits and services to students through both formal events and informal interactions on campus.
  • Work with the marketing team to create promotional materials, social media content, and campaigns tailored to the JSU student population.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  1. Ensure all events align with the credit union’s brand, values, and community engagement strategy.
  2. Conduct tabling events, presentations, and workshops related to financial literacy, budgeting, and credit building for students.
  3. Track engagement and report on the effectiveness of events and outreach efforts.
  4. Identify opportunities for the credit union to give back to the JSU community.
  5. Support the credit union’s growth and community engagement goals.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills:

  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse student populations.
  • Must have a creative and energetic in approach to problem-solving and event planning.
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have a passion for community engagement and promoting financial well-being among students.
  • Attention to detail and multi-task experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: Moderate lifting required.

Work Environment: Must be able to travel and work non-regular hours (evenings and weekends).
