About the Role:
As part of our 24/7/365 Call Center, the Hazardous Materials Response Team (HRT) is critical in protecting people, businesses, and the environment during chemical emergencies and waste management events. You'll thrive in this fast-paced, team-driven environment if you're a calm, confident problem solver with a passion for safety and service.
As a Call Center HRT Associate, you’ll deliver timely, accurate, and empathetic support to customers managing hazardous materials. You'll be part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your decisions help ensure safety and compliance. Your day-to-day may include:
What You'll Do:
• Guiding clients through chemical spill response and hazardous waste disposal procedures
• Collaborating with teammates to ensure safety, compliance, and consistency
• Delivering clear, compassionate customer communication—even under pressure
• Managing a high volume of tasks with precision and urgency
• Contributing to continuous improvement through feedback and quality assurance efforts
What Makes You a Great Fit:
• At least one (1) year of experience or familiarity with hazardous waste, spill response, or environmental safety
• High school diploma or GED
• Computer savvy—comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and navigating multiple systems
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Ability to stay focused, flexible, and calm under pressure
Bonus Points For:
• Call center or high-volume support experience
• Current or prior HazMat certification or equivalent training
Training Schedule (Approx. 6 Months)
• Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM PT (11:00 AM-7:30 PM ET)
Post-Training - Monthly Rotation:
• Month 1: Monday to Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM PT (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET)
• Month 2: Saturday to Wednesday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM PT (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET) Off: Thursday & Friday
• Flexibility is essential to support our 24/7 operations.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $33,800-$40,000 per year. The final offer will depend on several factors, including the successful candidate’s skills, depth of work experience, location, and relevant licenses/ qualifications. Each offer is determined based on individual strengths and relevant business considerations.
In addition to the base salary, certain roles may qualify for a performance-based incentive and/or equity, with eligibility depending on the position. These rewards are based on a combination of company performance and individual achievements.
