Photography + Digital Marketing Intern

JOB SUMMARY:

This dual-focus internship will provide hands-on photography experience while also introducing the fundamentals of digital marketing analytics, content optimization, and performance tracking. This role will capture high-quality images of service and replacement parts and contribute to digital campaigns that enhance product visibility and user engagement across platforms.

 

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Capture consistent, high-resolution images of medical, dental, and veterinary parts and components using professional photography equipment
  • Prepare parts for photography, ensuring cleanliness and correct orientation
  • Follow established style guides and photography standards for lighting, angles, and composition
  • Edit and retouch product photos using Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom to ensure clarity, color accuracy, and consistency
  • Organize and tag images in our digital asset management (DAM) system and ensure excellent SEO performance on our eCommerce platform
  • Collaborate with eCommerce, product management, and engineering teams to verify correct identification and labeling of photographed items
  • Assist in maintaining studio equipment and a clean working environment
  • Support tagging and documentation of image metadata for SEO optimization
  • Assist with updating product content and media in our eCommerce CMS
  • Partner with the digital marketing manager and analytics team to help monitor campaign performance (email, SEO, website engagement)
  • Contribute to reporting dashboards and metric summaries (e.g., photo engagement, clickthrough, conversions)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Currently pursuing a degree in photography, visual communication, industrial design, digital marketing, or related field.

 

COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:

  • Experience with DSLR or mirrorless camera systems and studio lighting setups
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom)
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable handling small mechanical or technical parts with care
  • Experience with 360° or macro product photography
  • Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM)
  • Understanding of SEO
  • Exposure to web analytics or content optimization tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush)
  • Understanding of SEO concepts or eCommerce platform
