Community Relations Intern

Service Credit Union is seeking a Community Relations Intern who will focus on community events and sponsorships, and how to maximize credit union awareness through community giving.

Pay:  $22.00 per hour. 

Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm

Work location: Portsmouth, NH

The Day to Day:

• Plan, create, and execute a community-facing event, including development of a promotional offer and a follow-up communication strategy for attendees.
• Collaborate with the Community Relations team to ensure sponsorship deliverables are met and executed to brand standards.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create event-related content for social media and newsletters.
• Build and maintain a detailed summer event calendar, including the creation of event briefs with recommendations for promotional materials, activities, and staffing needs.
• Attend Service CU sponsored events acting as an ambassador for the credit union.
• Other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
• Ability to travel to various events across NH, including some on nights and weekends. 

Experience and Qualifications:

• Must be detail oriented and able to manage time appropriately.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.
• Proficient with Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and various web-based applications required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
