Camp Happiness of Catholic Charities is seeking energetic and compassionate Camp Counselors to spend a fun-filled summer with exceptional children, with disabilities. Our Counselors offer support to campers while providing an exciting and safe environment for personal growth and learning. Camp Happiness staff will be needed from May 25 - July 26, 2025, typical hours 8:45am to 3:15pm, Monday through Friday.
Program Statement:
Camp Happiness is a six-week summer program providing social, recreational and educational services to children and young adults of all abilities, including those with cognitive and other developmental disabilities.
What you will do:
- Supervise assigned campers with a ratio according to need
- Plan and implement a variety of fun activities with designated themes
- Plan and supervise community outings
- Swim (recreational) with campers
- Assist with basic daily living activities
- Work with the campers behavior, social and educational goals

Education Required:
High School or better.
Preferred
Some college or better in Special Education or related field.
Experience
Preferred
Less than 1 year:
At least 16 weeks experience working with persons with cognitive disabilities a plus.
