Social Worker - PACE (Parents & Children Excel)

Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience

Expected starting salary range $33.45 to $44.66.  Full salary range $33.45 to $55.87.

Bachelor's OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university.

Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver's license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.


Desirable Qualifications:
Two (2) years of social service-related experience.

Nature of Work

Under supervision, and within Federal, State and locally developed programs and policies, identifies individual and/or family needs and works toward meeting those needs through County and community support services. Provides case management and/or advocacy for customers. May provide education in community-based settings. Works within a multi-disciplinary team setting.

Examples of Work

  • Conducts home visits and interviews clients to assess needs, challenges, and strengths within individuals and family systems.
  • Partners with families in the development of case plan goals that leverage family strengths to address barriers or challenges.
  • Partners with families and schools to address attendance and behavioral concerns for children.
  • Participate in school and other community-related meetings to address educational outcomes for children.
  • Assists families with connecting to and accessing community resources (Early childhood education, childcare, employment, food, cash, and health benefits).
  • Advocates for children, families, and communities.
  • Maintains electronic case file documentation in compliance with program requirements.
  • Promotes and supports engagement of natural supports and collaboration using case planning, family group, and other conference meetings.
  • Participates in and presents work with families during weekly unit consultation.
  • Performs related work as required.
