Accounting Assistant

Advanced Testing Systems is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team! This is an on-site position in our Bethel, CT office. Applicants must be able to commute or be planning to relocate to the area. An Accounting Assistant will report directly to the accounting manager and be responsible for: 
• Maintaining organized financial records, including receipts, vendor profiles, invoices, and asset information.
• Assisting in management of incoming work orders from ATS’s parent company, including maintaining order tracking spreadsheets for orders, deposits, deliveries, dates, etc.
• Monitoring and reconciling credit card charges and payments.
• Reviewing and responding to emails and other communications from clients and parent company.
• Assisting in monitoring accounts payable and receivable.
• General support for accounting manager and sales staff.
• Assisting in operational and general administrative tasks, including compliance and procedural updates and purchase order processing.
• Assisting with general clerical work such as creating and filing documents, generating letters and notices, etc.
• Performing additional duties as needed.
 

Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with QuickBooks preferred.
• Must be technologically adept, most of our work is done digitally!
• Candidates should be comfortable working independently and maintaining timely work habits and organization.
