Paid Podcasting Internship: Summer 2025

Seeking real-world experience in the dynamic podcasting and audio storytelling industry? Welcome to the third annual Women’s Media Group Presidents Emeritae Award application: a part-time, PAID internship with one of NYC’s hottest podcasting studios!

The award recipient will receive $2,500 from Women’s Media Group, paid in two installments: 50% upon the official internship onboarding and 50% at the conclusion of the internship.

Qualifications

The Women’s Media Group Presidents Emeritae Award will be given to an undergraduate student enrolled in a university within the NYC / Tri-State area or is a legal resident of the Tri-State area enrolled in a university beyond the Tri-State area who identifies as female and is interested in pursuing a career in media. This internship is a hybrid role, with mentorship on-site at WMN’s Soho offices in NYC as a key benefit to the experience.
Applicants must have a US-issued social security number in order to be eligible, and must submit a W9 to WMG upon acceptance of the internship and stipend.

Internship Specifications

Start Date: Monday, June 16, 2025

End Date: Friday, August 1, 2025

Time Commitment: 21.5 hours per week

Location: Hybrid: work from home + on-site in Manhattan/Soho offices

Internship Responsibilities

  • Researching and writing scripts for daily women’s history podcast Womanica
  • Assisting production assistants in managing Womanica production assignments calendar
  • Researching and drafting interview prep documents for at least one other project (non-fiction narrative podcast or interview chat show, exact project TBD, based on production team’s needs and candidate’s interests)
