Title: Production Artwork Technician
Location: Temecula, CA 92591-Onsite role
Duration: 12+ Months Assignment (Possible extension)
Shift: M-F, 8 AM – 5 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Production Artwork Technician to support the creation and formatting of labeling and packaging components in a regulated environment. This is an entry-level position, ideal for recent graduates or individuals with some experience in artwork production or medical device labeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, issue, and distribute product artwork using current versions of QuarkXpress, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and other Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
- Support routing and approval processes for packaging artwork and instructions for use (IFUs).
- Attend product launch meetings and communicate artwork priorities and timelines.
- Ensure all artwork adheres to regulatory standards (ISO, FDA) and internal style guides.
- Work with internal teams and third-party design suppliers to initiate and finalize artwork with minimal rework.
- Manage computer-generated labeling formats and participate in validation activities before production release.
- Escalate issues and delays to team leads or project management as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Label creation involves placing data and symbols onto templates and transferring information into a database.
- Follow detailed, standardized processes to maintain compliance with medical device labeling regulations.
- Assist in formatting and structuring documentation in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word.
- Perform data entry and support database population activities related to label content.
- Utilize labeling software such as EasyLabel, BarTender, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Word.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Basic understanding of FDA and ISO standards as they relate to labeling.
- Experience or coursework in design/layout using Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies in text and layout.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in medical device labeling, production graphics, or a quality-regulated environment is a plus.
