RPS Summer Internship Program – Summer 2026
Location: Office in Fort Lauderdale and Lake Mary
Dates: 1st week of June – 1st week of August 2026 (9 Weeks)
Requirements:
• Rising sophomores and juniors with an expected graduation date between December 2026 ‐ June 2028
• Preferred areas of study include Risk Management & Insurance/ Finance / Sales, but can be any major.
Overview of RPS:
Risk Placement Services (RPS) is a nationally recognized wholesale insurance broker and leading Managing General
Agent/Underwriting Manager for all commercial lines (property, casualty, transportation, professional lines, binding,
etc.). With over 80 branch offices and satellite locations across the country, RPS has established itself as a trusted
intermediary between insurance carriers and retail agents/brokers.
Program Details:
1. Hands‐on Experience: Get real‐world exposure to various lines of wholesale insurance
2. Mentorship: Learn from producers who will guide and support you throughout your internship.
3. Networking Opportunities: Connect with industry experts, build relationships, and expand your network.
4. Skill Development: Enhance your skills in consultative sales, underwriting and brokerage
Conference Trip and Regional Sales Competition:
• Interns will be given an all‐expense‐paid trip to visit headquarters and attend our summer conference in Rolling
Meadows, Illinois. Here they will learn the latest industry trends, attend workshops/seminars led by renowned
experts, and network with over 400+ fellow interns from around the country.
• At the end of the summer, interns will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge by performing in a regional
sales challenge. This competition will be group oriented and the winners will then move onto a national level. At this
stage, the contestants will perform in front of Gallagher’s executive board who will award a final champion.

2. First Round Interview: Phone interview or on‐campus where applicable.
3. Second Round interview: Rotational video interview or in‐person where applicable.
4. Decision Timeline: candidate receiving an offer will have a standard two‐week decision deadline.
