Lead Peer Coordinator- Brand Management/Content Creation
The Black/African American Cultural Center assists students who are in exploration of the African diaspora with their transition to Colorado State University and throughout their academic careers by providing support and encouragement for their academic, professional, cultural, and personal development. We strive to provide a family-like support system made up of faculty, staff and student organizations that help students succeed.
The Lead Peer Coordinator (LPC) role is a leader among leaders and helps guide the B.E.S.T. staff through their expected responsibilities and navigate the challenges of their respective roles.
General Responsibilities
o Serve as mentor for transfer students in the Rites of Passage Mentorship program (1-2 Hours per week)
o Attend weekly LPC meeting with B/AACC Professional Staff (1 Hour)
o Co-lead weekly B.E.S.T. Staff meeting (1.5 Hours)
o Lead team building activities on retreat and at all staff meetings
o 1st point of contact for B.E.S.T. staff
o Coordinate the collection of data for selected programs
o Organize and Maintain the Teams channels and resources
o Assist in developing and implementing programs and office plans
o Maintain confidentiality
o Desk shift for at least 4 hours per week.
Brand Management
o Demonstrable multimedia graphic design skills with a portfolio
o Up to date with industry-leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.) (Preferred)
o Ensure all photography and videography policies are followed
o Marketing timeline management
o Ensure brand cohesion for the B/AACC brand in alignment with University guidelines
o Delegate tasks to Peer Coordinator for content management
o Create B/AACC print and online advertising materials and update all advertising on the website, social media outlets, and posters/handbills/brochures.
o Help create and maintain a fresh and up-to-date social media presence on multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
o Coordinate weekly newsletter under the supervision of Pro Staff
o Co-manage marketing interns with Professional Staff

B.E.S.T Job Components to Consider
- Must have at least a 2.50 GPA to apply/continue working and be in good academic standing for the year
- Be able to attend mandatory weekly staff meetings
- Must be in attendance for the duration of Fall Staff Training (August 18-20)
- Available to work up to 10 hours a week
