About the Fund
Seven Seas Capital Partners, LLC is a traditional search fund (i.e., small investment fund) seeking to identify, acquire, and operate an existing private company. The fund is led by Samir Siddiqui (Georgia Tech ’13, Northwestern Kellogg ’23) and supported by a world-class investor group of entrepreneurs and operators, including Trilogy Search Partners, Anacapa Partners, Aspect Investors, WSC & Company, Futaleufu Partners, and others. Samir is focused on acquiring a B2B niche software or B2B services business is the US, with a target enterprise value of $10– 60mm, which he will lead post-acquisition.
About the Role
The internship will involve a hands-on learning experience with many of the core activities involved with running a startup private equity firm. An Analyst should expect to develop a fundamental knowledge of the process by which middle market companies are bought and sold. Analysts will also gain a working understanding of the industry participants involved in middle market transactions and the motivating factors driving their behavior.
The internship is unpaid but can often be used as a field study for course credit. This role is a great fit for anyone interested in search funds, private equity, investment banking, entrepreneurship, sales, business development, and family businesses.
Core Responsibilities
- Research and identify attractive industries and target companies based on Seven Seas Capital’s investment criteria.
- Production of emails / letters / calls for targeted small businesses.
- Market and competitive research, along with participation in phone calls with investment bankers and small business owners
- Significant mentorship from Seven Seas Capital’s Managing Partner and weekly meetings to discuss progress.
