TDI is currently seeking a Human resource Administrative Intern to join our Human Resources Team in Washington, D.C. This role will provide essential administrative support across various HR functions, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and an excellent employee experience.
Job Responsibilities
The HR Administrative Intern will have the following responsibilities:
- HR Administrative Support: Maintain and update employee records, assist with HR documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Benefits & Leave Administration: Support benefits enrollment, respond to employee inquiries, and assist in processing leave requests.
- Recruitment Support: Assist with job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, and communication with candidates.
- HR Systems Maintenance: Ensure accurate data entry and record-keeping in HRIS and ATS systems.
- Onboarding & Orientation Assistance: Prepare onboarding materials, coordinate new hire orientations, and facilitate a seamless onboarding experience.
- Compliance & Documentation: Assist with employment verifications, maintain personnel files, and ensure HR compliance documentation is up to date.
- HR Reporting & Data Entry: Compile and maintain HR-related reports, track key HR metrics, and provide administrative support for audits.
- Employee Engagement Support: Help organize HR-related events, training sessions, and wellness initiatives.
- General HR Support: Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, providing support and directing inquiries to appropriate HR personnel.
- Intern Program Coordination: Support the HR Director in managing the intern program, including recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the HR Administrative Intern position will possess the following:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Location: Washington, DC | Monday - Friday (In-Person)
Compensation: $17.50 hourly
