Expeditions Program Coordinator

Location: Draper, UT (hybrid, with periodic international travel)

Reports To: Director of Operations

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Type: Full-Time

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

CHOICE Humanitarian is a nonprofit organization that partners with rural communities to reduce global poverty through locally led, sustainable development. With an annual budget of approximately $3 million, we operate in seven countries—Bolivia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Kenya, Mexico, Nepal, and Peru—supporting long- term resilience and self-reliance. Our approach is grounded in community leadership, local operations, and leveraging resources through intercultural exchange and shared investment. Our global staff of over 100 team members diligently deliver our mission, and since our founding in 1982, we’ve touched millions of lives.

EXPEDITIONS PROGRAM OVERVIEW

CHOICE’s Expeditions Program is a social enterprise and core component of our intercultural exchange efforts. The program facilitates in-country seminars and volunteer humanitarian expeditions across CHOICE’s seven program countries. These immersive experiences are a blend of humanitarian service, cultural learning, and global citizenship. Participants—families, individuals, corporate partners, and donors—join rural communities to support CHOICE-supported projects led by local leaders.

Importantly, CHOICE does not do development through expeditions. Expeditions are designed to support and accelerate community-led development already underway.
