Summer Investments Intern

Summary:
The Investments Intern will work directly with the Investments Team on select levels of the commercial real estate deal chain, including: research, underwriting, and acquisitions. The Investments Team works in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, and an Investments Intern will be exposed to a variety of asset-type acquisitions. For a summer internship, it is full-time.

Job Functions:

  • Analyze new investment opportunities through underwriting in Excel and ARGUS
  • Conduct submarket research, including the collection and analysis of numerous categories of market data
  • Prepare elements of investment committee spec sheets
  • Sit in on and observe investment committee meetings
  • Assist in the production of investment pitchbooks
  • Assist the Investments Team in all due diligence matters related to potential acquisitions

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Excel underwriting skills required
  • Experience with ARGUS required

Education:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in finance, real estate, business, economics or related area but all backgrounds will be considered
  • Pursuing a Master’s in Real Estate Development, Finance or MBA highly desired

Experience:

  • Commercial real estate investment and/or finance experience is considered a plus
