JOB TITLE Good Manufacturing Practices Materials Coordinator Intern 

8-12 weeks 40 hours per week 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a GMP Materials Coordinator for our Methuen, MA location. In this role, based in Methuen, MA, you will play a crucial part in managing inventory processes, ensuring accuracy, and facilitating the smooth flow of GMP materials within Tobin Scientific. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage inventory processes, focusing on enhancing accuracy and minimizing discrepancies in GMP materials (GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices, a system that ensures products, like pharmaceuticals and food, are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards).  

  • Conduct GMP raw materials and single-use components inventory counts upon client request, ensuring reconciliation for system accuracy.  
  • Coordinate interfacility material transfers among all Tobin Scientific locations.  
  • Support GMP duties at both locations, including receiving incoming goods/raw materials, conducting weekly GMP raw material inventory checks, and managing stock rotation and segregation of GMP materials.  
  • Issue GMP controlled documents for operations.  Coordinate disposals/transfers of expired materials based on client directives.  
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.  
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).  
  • Perform any additional tasks as required. 

DESIRED MAJORS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS  

  • Pursuing undergraduate degree  
  • Experience in warehouse or product handling environments is a plus.  
  • GMP/GDP experience is a plus.  
  • Strong work ethic, flexibility to changing work demands, and effective team player.
  • Understanding of GMP concepts and procedures is a plus.  
  • Experience with materials handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.  
  • Ability to manage changing and multiple priorities effectively.  
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, reach with hands and arms, lift and move up to 50 pounds.  
  • Self-driven and motivated, requiring minimal supervision.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer programs. 

YOUR INTERVIEW PROCESS 

At Tobin, our interview process for undergraduate interns is designed to identify motivated individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to our team. The process consists of three main steps: 

1. HR Phone Screening: The initial step involves a phone screening conducted by our HR team. During this screening, HR gathers feedback on all candidates and provides it to the Hiring Manager. 

2. In-Person Interview and Warehouse Tour: Based on HR's feedback, the Hiring Manager selects candidates who are a good fit for an in-person interview and a tour of our warehouse. This step allows candidates to get a firsthand look at our operations and culture. 

3. Job Offer: Finally, selected candidates receive a job offer to join our team as interns. 

PAY RATE 

$20/hr 

LOCATION 

14 Aegean Dr (14 Aegean Dr, Methuen, Massachusetts 01844). MBTA Accessible – Tobin offers $250/Month to assist with expenses for daily commute.
