Creative Design Apprentice

Kegerreis Digital Marketing is the sister company to the 11th largest billboard company in the US   (www.kegerreis.com), with coverage in 7 states and 67 counties, including Danville, VA, site of its corporate headquarters. KDM seeks people who are creative, curious, collaborative and entrepreneurial. Our values inform our work life and create a fun atmosphere. The selected candidate for this position will be a visionary storyteller and creator for many brands and KDM clients ranging from Amish-owned fruit stands to multi-national arts festivals. This position is an enhanced applied creative design apprenticeship intended to prepare an individual for future service as a Creative Director with our agency.

 

Experience and Ideal Educational Background:

 

Essential:

  • Proficiency with resizing image and videos for optimal file sizes and alternate display/screen sizes.
  • Familiarity with the full Adobe Creative Suite, proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator & Premiere
  • Experience or advanced knowledge of wireframing for web design (preferred Figma or Adobe)

 

Preferred: 

  • Photography and videography experience
  • Experience with augmented reality
  • Experience with animation
  • Experience with 3D modeling software
  • Fashion and costume design especially fur suits, insects and dragons 
  • Familiarity with monday.com or other work collaboration software
  • Knowledge of Python image libraries
  • Applied training in UX and interactive design

 

Accountabilities:

  • Design logos, digital display, and billboard ads 
  • Video editing and development for streaming services
  • Web design and storyboarding
  • Design and develop infographics

Work Location:

Work location is in a renovated brick tobacco warehouse in Danville VA’s Historic River District renovated and designed to evoke the feeling of working in a forest.
