Purpose of the Job:
The Worship and Production Pastor supports the Senior and Executive Pastor by overseeing and leading the worship and production departments at Believers Church. This pivotal role is responsible for cultivating a life-giving, spiritually enriching worship culture, maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the ministry and its staff, and ensuring that weekend services and events reflect the vision and mission of Believers Church. This position also collaborates on creative elements as needed for special services and experiences.
Experience and Knowledge Preferred:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in worship leadership, administration, and volunteer management in a church setting.
Proficient in leading worship, coordinating teams, and directing music-related activities.
Skilled in developing talent across various musical disciplines.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities in both worship and technical areas.
Technologically adept with tools such as Apple Products, Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, and Ableton Live.
Capable of managing multiple projects with strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient in playing instruments such as piano or guitar.
Effective problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary worship leader for weekend services and major events.
Oversee all aspects of the worship and production departments, including sound, lighting, video, and stage design.
Recruit, train, and pastor volunteer team members and staff across worship and production.
Develop worship set lists and coordinate rehearsals, music arrangements, and team communication.
Manage departmental communications and maintain efficient organizational systems.
Develop and manage the annual department budget in alignment with church goals.
Ensure all music and media complies with licensing laws and church policies.
Provide leadership in planning and executing necessary elements for special services as needed (e.g., Christmas, Easter, baptisms).
Lead or participate in departmental and all-staff meetings as scheduled.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide pastoral care to Dream Team members, congregants, and the community.
Lead at least one small group each semester.
Support and help develop youth worship teams in coordination with the Next Gen department.
Establish a leadership pipeline to identify and develop potential worship and production team leaders, ensuring ongoing growth, strength, and sustainability of the ministry.
Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming environment in worship and production areas.
All other duties as assigned by the Senior or Executive Pastor.

Extent of Public Contact:
Frequent interaction with church staff, volunteers, congregation and community.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lead worship for extended periods of time.
Ability to play an instrument (e.g., guitar or piano) while singing, when needed.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and actively participating in the setup and operation of production equipment.
Ability to drive a personal vehicle or a Believers Church vehicle as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversight of all worship and production staff and Dream Team members, ensuring effective leadership, training, and pastoral care.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation will be based on experience, education, and qualifications. A full benefits package and relocation assistance may be available.
