Federal Way Public Schools (FWPS) Nutrition Services is seeking a HungerCorps Member to support expansion of federal child nutrition programs. This member will help increase access to nutritious food across the community and district year-round by supporting two key federal programs.
FWPS Nutrition Services: FWPS is dedicated to increasing access to federal child nutrition programs year-round. By administering the Free Summer Meals from June – August, FWPS is able to serve free meals to all children ages 18 and under in the community and surrounding neighborhoods while also providing a safe and fun learning environment. Locations include school sites and mobile sites for meal service, and this HungerCorps member would work at any or all locations based on need.

FWPS will be expanding their BAB program in stages to ensure that all schools implement strong and effective BAB models that increase participation in school breakfast.
United Way of King County: UWKC is working side by side with communities to build an equitable future for everyone by ensuring that everyone has access to resources, quality education, enough to eat, and a safe place to call home.
