Position: Telecommunications Clerk (Part-Time)
Work Schedule: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.
Hourly Pay: $20.91 - $23.90 with a full benefits package

Role Highlights:
Telecommunications Clerks handle operations at the Oshkosh Police Department Customer Service Desk with autonomy and are integral in creating strong public relations and efficient communication within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Professionally handle incoming calls, transfer those to the correct department and ensure communication lines are smooth and efficient.
- Aid the public by providing information and processing requests for emergency and non-emergency services.
- Act as a department ambassador, maintaining a positive public image through high-quality service.
Data Entry:
- Accurately input service requests into our Computer Aided Dispatch system and other necessary software, adhering to required timeframes.
Form Processing and File Maintenance:
- Manage parking permits, citations, and records requests efficiently, while maintaining accurate records/files.
Training and Development:
- Engage in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with the latest police principles, practices, and department operations.
What You Bring:
Education & Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years old with a High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of customer service experience, with proficient typing skills.
- Ability to attain and maintain the TIME System Certification.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong command of modern office software and data management systems.
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with legal structures, geographic locations, and community resources.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
