Marketing Intern
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting to the Marketing & Product Director, the Marketing Intern will assist the marketing department in projects that promote the Manitou and Gehl brands in North America through various marketing strategies. The Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to contribute ideas for overall brand awareness, build relationships with dealers, perform market research and other projects as determined by the Marketing Director.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Marketing Intern will assist the Manitou North America Marketing Department by:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing strategies for our dealer network to help drive brand awareness.
- Assisting with creation and modification of literature and trade show materials.
- Assisting with marketing requests from dealers for assistance.
- Develop corporate presentations as needed.
- Provide ideas to develop new brand strategies.
- Work with vendors on promotional products as needed.
- Assist the marketing team with other projects as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
- Strong desire to learn.
- Solid understanding of different marketing techniques & channels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
EXPERTISE:
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer (Mon.-Fri, 8am-5pm). If available while in school, have the ability to work 10-20 hours per week (depending on schedule).
- Ability to collaborate with a team and work well independently.
EDUCATION:
- Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor or Associates Degree in communications, marketing or closely related field
- Student must meet a minimum of sophomore status
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:
- Ability to work in a complex network in a matrix organization
PAY RANGE:
- Base pay will be $18/hour
LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:
- This opportunity is located in our corporate office in West Bend, WI.
- Limited/No travel required
