Instructional Design & E-Learning Development Intern

Are you an instructional design or educational technology student looking to build your portfolio and gain hands-on experience? Join our collaborative behavioral health team as an Instructional Design & E-Learning Intern. This flexible, remote internship offers the opportunity to create real-world e-learning materials while receiving personalized mentorship and professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and developing e-learning courses using Adobe Captivate and other tools.
  • Collaborate with an experienced instructional designer to storyboard interactive modules.
  • Research content topics relevant to behavioral health to support evidence-based learning.
  • Create and edit multimedia assets (graphics, audio, animations) using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Review and test e-learning modules for accessibility, responsiveness, and usability.
  • Help troubleshoot issues in development tools and LMS platforms.
  • Contribute to maintaining organized project files and version control systems.
  • Explore current trends in instructional design and share new ideas with the team.
  • Optionally contribute to related tasks like internal email communications or educational social media campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a degree program in instructional design, educational technology, or related field.
  • Interest in e-learning, adult learning theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Familiarity with tools like Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, or Canva is a plus—not required.
  • Some experience or willingness to learn Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excited to learn, grow, and contribute in a supportive team environment.

Duration and Schedule:

  • Internship is flexible, requiring 10–20 hours per week.
  • Duration can be adapted to meet your academic credit requirements or career goals.
  • Primarily remote, with optional in-person check-ins depending on your location.
