Our world-class faculty and students work across subject areas to investigate and solve real-world problems.
Our Department of Social & Decision Sciences is seeking to hire a Teaching Assistant. This position will perform teaching and/or teaching related duties to assist faculty members, professors, department heads and other faculty.
Core Responsibilities
- Providing teaching and/or teaching assistance
- Proctoring exams, grades, tests and homework
- Assigning materials in class as needed
- Handing out assignments, obtaining materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials
- Help guide and/or mentor students within data analysis, decision and quantitative analysis
- Delivering lectures and preparing presentations for course related information
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree; preferably in any social science, statistics, economics and/or decision science is highly preferred
- Content knowledge of the social sciences and/or economics
- A background in statistics or programming (Python, SPSS or R) is necessary
- Quantitative skills, interest and/or experience in research methods, data analysis, and decision analysis
- Experience with teaching, working as a tutor or TA preferential
- Must have a strong interest in helping and interacting with students
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
