Entry Level Maintenance Technician
Ahimsa Gardens is an environmentally-friendly full-service landscaping company serving residential and commercial clients in Ashland and the Rogue Valley. We design climate-wise landscapes, utilizing many native plants to support native insect and bird species. We follow permaculture ethics, designing food forest gardens for clients interested in growing food. We design and install irrigation systems, fences, patios and pathways, and more. We help our clients find water-wise, fire-safe solutions for their landscaping needs while creating inspiring outdoor spaces for humans to gather, and native wildlife to thrive.
Ahimsa Gardens is looking for an entry level maintenance technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance on client's properties.
Weed, prune, rake, trench, plant, install drip irrigation, etc.
Manage time well enough to complete jobs assigned for each day (between 1-5 clients a day).
Accurately report time and materials used at all jobsites.
Identify plants and recognize plant health.
Communicate effectively and professionally with clients
Accurately record completed tasks and reports for the future.
Qualifications for the ideal candidate:
General knowledge of landscaping
Knowledge of native plants are a plus but will be taught to candidates
Knowledge of how to use weed whacker, shovel, rack, and other maintenance tools.
Work experience outdoors in all weather conditions.
Strong organization and time management
MUST have a valid driver's license WITH a clean record
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Detail oriented and has a willingness to learn
Required to physically stand, bend, squat and lift up to 50lbs for long periods of time.
Full time preferred but part time (4 days minimum) may be offered to the right candidate. Monday through Friday, start time will change based on season/daylight.
Pay depends on experience.
