Graphic Design Assistant - University Relations
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Graphic Design Assistant to contribute to our marketing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing engaging digital and print marketing materials that promote the University of Wisconsin-Parkside to prospective and current students, as well as the wider community.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Graphic Design Assistant, you will collaborate on a variety of marketing projects, with a strong emphasis on graphic design. Under the guidance of a Marketing Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include creating compelling collateral pieces, developing engaging digital assets, and helping with updates to and building content on the website. You will learn to thoughtfully consider the content copy, applying strategic logic to add or eliminate information for the greatest impact.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated graphic design experience with a portfolio showcasing your skills (required).
- Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Mac operating systems.
- A creative mindset with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts.
- Aptitude for and interest in designing for various digital media platforms.
- A strong desire to learn, grow professionally, and gain practical experience in a professional environment.
- An open and receptive attitude towards receiving and implementing constructive design feedback.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, provide quick turnaround, adhere to deadlines, and pay attention to detail.
- Enrollment as a graphic design major is preferred.
