Air Permit Engineer

Job description

JOB SUMMARY
This person will be responsible for air permitting work while ensuring consistency with company culture and vision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Prepare and generate air permit applications, air permitting exemption determinations, emissions calculations, and routine air reports such as annual emissions statements and monitoring reports.

2. Perform air permitting work independently.

3. Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, regulatory officials, customers, and fellow employees.

4. Strict adherence to meeting deliverable schedules, deadlines, budgets, and quality of work standard.

5. Strict adherence to health and safety rules and company policies.

6. Demonstrate commitment to the company culture and vision.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience

· B.S. or M.S. Engineering or Scientific Discipline

· Five to Ten Years of experience working in the environmental industry, specifically air permitting

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

· A physical exam is required to obtain medical clearance for hazardous waste work

· Must pass drug test, background check, physical, and must have a satisfactory driving record

· A valid driver's license is required

Travel

· Some overnight travel may be requested
