The Associates Program (TAP)
Your first job is
all about learning what you actually want to do now that you’re no longer
majoring in Philosophy or Chemistry or Political Science, but it’s also all
about learning who you are. What excites you, inspires you, drives you,
challenges you, even changes you. The Associates Program (TAP) at Capital Group
doesn’t just help you decide what you want to do, it helps figure out who you
want to be. We let you try different jobs, in different departments and
different places all over the world to figure out what’s right for you. All majors welcome.
TAP is a highly selective two-year global rotational program at Capital Group, one of the world’s leading investment management firms.
TAP offers you the chance to:
- Try
different jobs in different departments through six four-month assignments. The
best way to know if you're more into Marketing, Research, Sales, Strategy, or
Operations is to experience them first hand.
- Get
personalized career coaching and professional development, in-house MBA-level
courses and training workshops. We get better when you get better.
- Work
at a nonprofit of your choice for four months while getting paid by Capital
Group. The best of both worlds.
- Build relationships with business leaders across different departments. You don't just make connections, you make friends.
Where is the program located?
TAP Associates are based in Southern California, but Capital Group is a global company. Which means that you have the chance to work at our offices around the world during the second year.
And while you don’t have to stay on at the Capital Group after TAP, we work with you to identify great long-term placements based on who you are, what you’ve learned, and the needs of the business.
Eligibility:
-
College
seniors
in undergrad are invited to apply. All majors are welcome.
- Applicants
should have an overall GPA of 3.3 or higher if enrolled at a school in the U.S.
- We
do not accept MBA graduates or those in an MBA program. Capital Group has a
separate MBA recruiting program. Check the website for more info.
- If
you do not have a US passport or work permit, we are often able to obtain work
visas for TAP participants during and upon completion of the program.
- We’re
not looking for the next great investment banker – we want thought leaders in
all different departments.
