Job Description: Social Media & Marketing Intern – MES
Location: On-site at one of the following: Sandy Hook, CT | Miami, FL
Type: Paid Internship ($20/hour)
Schedule: Part-time (15–20 hrs/week) or Full-time (Summer 2025)
Compensation: $20/hour + $100 project stipend for finalist candidates

MES is a national leader in providing uniforms, gear, and tactical solutions to first responders. Our customers are law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and industrial safety professionals—people who show up when others run. We serve them with purpose, precision, and pride.
What You’ll Do
You won’t be grabbing coffee—you’ll be building content that connects. This role sits at the center of our marketing engine, with exposure to brand strategy, creative development, and digital execution.
Responsibilities include:
- Create and schedule social media content across LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok
- Assist with campaign planning and reporting
- Help develop brand stories, video concepts, and product spotlights
- Monitor engagement, trends, and performance
- Support marketing events, launches, and internal projects

- Have a portfolio, social account, or side project that shows your creative chops
- Know your way around Canva, TikTok trends, Instagram Reels, or social scheduling tools
- Love storytelling, branding, and making content that gets noticed
- Are organized, proactive, and ready to learn fast
Skills & Tools We Value
We’re looking for creative thinkers who don’t just use tools—they leverage them to move fast and make impact.
- Proficiency with Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Meta Business Suite
- Social-first design skills: Reels, carousels, meme formats, product promotion
- Strong copywriting skills with a sense of tone, voice, and audience
- Ability to adapt messaging for different platforms and formats
- ChatGPT – For ideation, copywriting, caption writing, content repurposing, campaign brainstorms
- DALL·E – For quick image generation, visual concepts, and editable graphics inside ChatGPT
- Midjourney – For high-concept visual storytelling, mood boards, or cinematic-style content
- Kling AI (or awareness of GenAI video tools like RunwayML) – For short-form video content and next-gen storytelling
