Environmental Scientist

CalRecycle is seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Scientist to join our team and contribute to the success of California’s Paint Product Recovery Program!
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Act as a co-lead overseeing California’s Paint Product Recovery Program.
- Independently perform environmental and natural resource management analysis, research, surveys, investigations, and studies.
- Interact with a variety of colleagues and external interested parties, including other government agencies, businesses, and non-governmental organizations.
- Prepare regulatory and compliance documents, as well as other technical reports and materials.
- Respond to complex inquiries from the public and draft non-routine correspondence regarding the program.
- Conduct other related work to implement CalRecycle's product stewardship programs and initiatives.
- Provide scientific expertise and consultative technical advice to various external entities.
This position requires that you possess and maintain a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your applications. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions. Failing to maintain a valid CDL will result in a failure to meet job requirements.
