The Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, Division of Insurance, is recruiting for an Office Assistant 2 located in Juneau!
What you will be doing
Under the general direction of the Administrative Officer 1 the incumbent independently performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of the Division of Insurance, Juneau office. Responsibilities include ensuring adequate phone/walk-in reception for main reception desk in Juneau, provide guidance to the Office Assistant 1 position, complete small procurement requests, assist staff with personnel issues and paperwork as needed, arrange travel for staff members in Anchorage and Juneau, input payroll for staff members in Anchorage and Juneau, prepare and mail Service of Process (SOP) requests within strict regulatory guidelines, manage Public Records Requests, provide primary administrative support to Juneau staff and complete special projects as needed.

The working environment you can expect:
This position is on the 9th floor of the State Office Building in downtown Juneau, Alaska. The 9th floor also houses other divisions within the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development. The office consist of floor to ceiling windows that allows natural light to flow in the building. From the 9th floor we can view of the Governor's mansion and Juneau's beautiful mountain ranges.
