Intern - Instructional Design

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about Beacon and the roles within Learning & Development. We develop and deliver learning opportunities through educational content that is delivered synchronously (virtual and in person) and asynchronously (eLearning). We're looking for someone who is creative, organized, and has a passion for learning.

What you will do:

  • Design and develop engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and knowledge transfer
  • Apply the ADDIE model to design work
  • Maintain proper storage of all course assets and documentation
  • Identify the target audience’s training needs
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts
  • Collaborate with teammates to improve individual and team performance
  • Ensure outstanding customer service to our internal customers
  • Use multimedia to enhance interactive design
  • Participate in a paid 2 half-day virtual Brain-Centric Basics workshop ($350.00 value) - as schedule permits


What you will bring:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in instructional design, Curriculum and Instruction, learning design & technologies, or other relevant fields of study
  • Must be at minimum junior year in college
  • 1+ years of experience in Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Must be self-motivated and keen to build and develop your own career through continuous learning
