Medical Clinical Assistant

We are actively seeking a professional individual to assist our physician in the clinic setting. The Clinical Assistant is key in the provider’s ability to provide quality care to our patients. We are looking for a detail oriented, dependable, and professional individual who takes ownership in providing excellent patient care. This individual should possess skills and passion to assure the clinical team is highly communicative, efficient, and responsive to all aspects of exceptional care.
The ideal candidate has the ability to multitask, to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, family members, support staff, and the care team. The candidate must possess superb efficiency skills and thrive in an environment that requires competing priorities.
Duties include assisting the provider with the clinic visit; greeting and escorting patients to the exam room with courtesy and respect; taking vital signs and assisting with minor procedures. Candidate needs to be able to think ahead; anticipate what is needed from the provider. Knowledge and use of basic sterile techniques and infection control procedures, and medical terminology are required. The candidate must accurately relay and record medical information to physician as appropriate. The Clinical Assistant also schedules appointments for outside ancillary tests/procedures, assists in scheduling surgery, manages patient follow up, and maintains cleanliness of exam rooms. The provider expects the Clinical Assistant to be reliable, dependable, professional, and communicative. As skill progresses, the clinical assist may be asked to communicate medical information to the patient after consulting with the treating physician.
Qualifications: Position requires clinical experience in the medical field. The preferred candidate has medical certification as an RN, LPN or CMA, but individuals with certification in any clinical medical area will be considered. The ability to think critically, learn quickly, take ownership and value the experience of our patients is paramount.
