Nurse Aide - South Mountain Restoration Center (2nd & 3rd Shift)

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Nurse Aide, you will provide personalized care for each resident, attending to their physical, emotional, and hygiene needs to ensure a clean and safe environment. By participating in rehabilitation programs alongside our professional staff, you will not only gain valuable experience, but also have the opportunity to contribute to the residents' goal of achieving independence and self-sufficiency. This fulfilling experience will also allow for personal growth as you work alongside a team of health care professionals to make decisions about resident care.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 2nd shift (2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, with a 30-minute lunch) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with no lunch).
    • Rotating on and off duty days, including weekends and holidays
    • Work hours and schedule may change based on operational needs
  • Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
  • Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.


 

Special Requirement:

  • This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.


 

Other Requirements:


 

Legal Requirements: 

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
