Budget Analyst I

As a team member within the Financial Operations department, CBL Budget Analysts are responsible for many facets of CBL’s budget and reforecasting process including preparation, compilation, analysis, and reporting. This position is key in capturing and modeling the financial projections consistent with the overall strategic plan of the company.

The Successful Applicant will:

  • Consistently update and maintain Argus Enterprise models representative of the company’s portfolio.
  • Lead cross-departmental meetings to determine appropriate updates to projected income streams.
  • Adhere to specific processes, procedures, timelines, and modeling approach
  • Responsible for compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare routine NOI forecasts including variance explanations.
  • Prepare annual budgets and participates in special projects, as needed.
  • Analyze and evaluate projected income streams and provides analytical reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

To be considered, we require:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting or related area OR a minimum of eight (8) years directly related experience, or equivalent combination thereof (1 year education = 2 years experience).
  • Strong financial, accounting, computer, mathematical, and organizational skills.
  • Positive, enthusiastic leadership qualities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to teach concepts/mentor others.
  • Ability to perform various tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to comprehend legal documents, such as, leases and other contracts related to the real estate industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with all Divisions of the company.
  • Experience in Argus Enterprise, advanced Excel skills, SQL and Power BI are a plus.
