Finance Intern

Pay Range: $14.90 to $20.16 

Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

ACCOUNTING & FINANCE

Finance Intern - La Crosse, WI: Our Corporate Accounting I& Finance Department, located in Onalaska, WI at the Corporate Offices is looking for a driven Finance Intern.

Job Purpose:  The intern will be responsible for pulling data from our general ledger and other Kwik Trip systems in order to provide real-time data driven analysis and insight into income and expense accounts across the enterprise.  The person will work with all levels of management and non-management co-workers to analyze income and expense data to improve corporate profitability.

Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Design, enhance, and maintain measurement tools, KPI’s, dashboards, and reports

·         Gather, translate, and deliver technical information to stakeholders

·         Research, identify, and analyze income and expense data to identify cost saving opportunities

·         Develop efficient methods of data collection

Qualifications: 

·         Currently attending school for Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics

·         Possess strong data analysis skills

·         Ability to read, understand, and interpret numbers

·         Accurate and detail orientated

·         Possess strong customer service skills

·         Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet department deadlines

·         Possess strong organizational skills

·         Possess strong written and oral communication skills

·         Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

·         Ability to work well alone and as a team

Work Schedule:  This is a paid internship summer long internship with the potential to extend into the school year
