Position Title: Student Administrative Assistant

General Purpose: The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain MedNet electronic filing (Peds referrals, clinic notes, in and outpatient consultations)
- Day to day management of office space (mailbox, maintain supplies, scanning, filing)
- Answer phones, emails, voicemails and distribute accordingly
- Maintain weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings and meeting requests including sending out invites, prepping agenda and meeting space-
- Maintain release of information for outpatient visits
- Fax discharge summaries and notes to FCM, PCP, etc.

Availability:
- Must be available to work during standard office hours
- Consistent schedule preferred to ensure continuity in administrative support
Education/Experience:
- Current undergraduate student at IU Indianapolis
- Prior experience in an office, healthcare, or administrative setting is helpful but not required
Knowledge, Skills, Attributes:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Comfortable learning and using internal systems (e.g., MedNet, electronic medical records)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Dependability, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Customer service orientation and ability to interact respectfully with patients, providers, and staff
