What You’ll Do

In this role, you will work closely with team members on a variety of client projects, gaining valuable experience at the intersection of policy and strategy in the energy sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in regulatory frameworks, market trends, and strategic planning while supporting clients in navigating complex industry landscapes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform financial, economic and operational analyses using complex data sets and valuation models
  • Benchmark utility practices to identify innovative approaches and best practices
  • Conduct comprehensive policy research to analyze emerging trends and strategies in the gas and electric industries
  • Assist with the development of expert testimony and reports for client engagements
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate 
  • Summarize research findings and contribute to client deliverables
  • Engage directly with clients on assigned tasks and present findings
  • Support business development initiatives, including client proposal preparation
  • Contribute to internal firm development activities to enhance best practices and knowledge sharing

What Makes You an Ideal Candidate

We are looking for driven individuals with a passion for solving complex problems and a commitment to excellence. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Experience and interest in cost accounting
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience handling large data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
  • Demonstrated initiative and eagerness to learn
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including strong Excel skills
  • Interest in energy, utilities, or policy is a plus

Location
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate that can work 1 – 2 days a week in our Framingham, MA, Raleigh, NC or Atlanta, GA offices.
