Fall 2025 Customs & Trade Compliance Intern
Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Fall 2025 Customs & Trade Compliance Internship out of our Nashville Hub. This role forms part of the Global Customs & Trade Compliance team, which is responsible to deliver sustainable value in full compliance with the international tax & customs regulations: (i) strategy (ii) advice, consulting and training (iii) advice to manage relationships with the tax & customs authorities (iv) assessing, monitoring, pro-actively mitigating and reporting risks. Reports to the Regional Customs & Trade Compliance Director.

- Hours: Part-time (up to 17.5 hrs) during the school year, full-time over summer 2026

Responsibilities

Research and stay updated on International Trade Laws and developments.
- Continuously monitor changes in international trade laws, such as new tariffs and trade agreements.
- Support the evaluation on how these changes affect the company’s operations and to recommend necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.

Support monitoring and enforcement of Trade Compliance regulations.
- Compile detailed compliance reports for management, highlighting any discrepancies or areas needing improvement.
- Streamline and Automate the reporting of Compliance Indicators

Update the Americas Customs and Trade Compliance internal website.
- Regularly update the website with the latest trade compliance information, ensuring it is accurate and user-friendly.
- Add new resources, such as guides, FAQs, and regulatory updates, to assist users in navigating trade compliance requirements.

Develop training material related to Customs and Trade Compliance
- Assist in creating comprehensive training materials that cover key aspects of customs and trade compliance.
- Gather feedback from trainees to continuously improve the training materials and ensure they meet the needs of the compliance team.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in International Business, Trade, Supply Chain, Law, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Manage and analyze data using Excel and other digital tools.
- Ability to organize and present information.
