Privately owned small animal clinic seeking the right veterinarian to join our team, with the option to buy in. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in medicine, surgery, and communication. This role involves providing client education and garnering lifelong relationships with pets and their owners. The veterinarian will work closely with another veterinarian and team of veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

The clinic offers the most up-to-date technology including a full in-house lab partnership with Idexx, ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray & full dental unit, surgical laser, therapeutic laser and a dedicated surgical suite.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals for preventative care and diagnosing medical conditions
  • Perform surgeries and dental procedures
  • Facilitate treatment and manage acute and chronic illnesses
  • Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to minimize stress during examinations or procedures. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting treatments, medications, follow-up care and all communication with clients
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff
  • Educate pet owners on preventive care, management of chronic illnesses, nutrition, and behavior issues.
  • Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education and professional development.

Experience

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Mentoring from experienced veterinarian willing to share knowledge and open to new ideas.
