Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Polymer Scientist to lead and advance our research and development initiatives in polymer synthesis, processing, and material characterization. This full-time role involves spearheading innovative projects in a dynamic lab environment, focusing on polymer applications, fiber development, and optimization of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is an experienced, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in polymer science, capable of independently driving complex projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and optimize advanced polymer synthesis, compounding, and characterization techniques to develop high-performance materials.
  • Prepare and test samples for characterization of polymers and fibers.
  • Oversee laboratory management, including coordinating experiments, managing chemical inventories, and ensuring proper disposal of waste in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Analyze experimental data and report findings to the R&D team.
  • Maintain excellent laboratory records and write reports as required.
  • Work collaboratively on innovative ideas and projects within groups.
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of polymer chemistry and material characterization techniques.
  • Hands-on lab experience (coursework, research, or previous jobs).
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical analysis skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
  • Communicates effectively orally and in writing in a positive manner.
  • Comfortable presenting technical results to a range of audiences.
  • Strong ability to work within a team structure.
  • Individual must be a US citizen or Green card holder.
