Copywriter Intern

The summer Copywriter Intern will support our marketing team by writing long-form blog posts focused on pet care, wellness, and lifestyle topics. This role is perfect for someone who loves storytelling, has a knack for grammar and structure, and is excited to learn how content can connect with readers and drive organic traffic.

They’ll work closely with our copywriter to brainstorm topics, optimize posts for SEO, and learn how to write in a clear, consistent brand voice. It's a hands-on, creative role where attention to detail and curiosity go a long way—and yes, a love for pets definitely helps! This will be a 12 week program.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Write engaging, long-form blog posts focused on pet care, wellness, and lifestyle topics
• Optimize blog content for SEO using best practices for keyword integration, formatting, and meta descriptions
• Collaborate with our copywriter and brand team on blog calendars, outline, and topic research
• Learn and maintain the different voices and tones between four of our key brands (Minties, Rocco & Roxie, PetArmor, & Vet IQ)
• Edit and revise content based on feedback
• Stay up-to-date on trends and blog content in the pet and wellness space

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and overall writing mechanics
• Basic understanding of blog writing and SEO principles (or willingness to learn)
• Ability to write clear, engaging, and well-structured blog content
  
   

Education Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• You’re able to share a few examples of your writing (portfolio, blogs, etc.)
• Bonus points if you love pets!
