Research Analyst & Technical Writer
I. OVERVIEW
A part-time, remote work opportunity that can transition into a full-time role for the right candidates.
This opportunity is ideal for those who have extra free time and enjoy doing research and analysis as well as connecting with professionals in the tech sector!
A monthly stipend will be paid based on your availability and projects you choose to work on.

- A demonstrated interest or expertise in the Blockchain, Cybersecurity, software development and/or macroeconomic sectors
II. EXPECTED BASE COMPENSATION
- Full-time (Available after November 1, 2025): $60,000 - $110,000 per year
- Part-time I (20 to 34 hrs/week): $2,000-$3,500 per month
. - Part-time II: (8 to 12 hrs/week): $100 to $500 per month
III. MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS
This is a generalist role. In order of importance, it requires a broad array of skills such as:

Technical Writing: Ability to understand and summarize complex topics in a manner non-technical and technical people can grasp

Presentation & Public Speaking: Ability speak clearly and communicate complex topics professionally in way that technical and non-technical audiences may understand

Research & Analysis: Ability to research and synthesize information from online and offline sources.
- This also includes original, primary research which includes interviews with Subject Matter Experts.
- Although not required, a background in data science and statistics would also be useful

Domain Specific Expertise: Hands-on experience with various Blockchains and Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocols. Familiarity with core macroeconomic and financial concepts and indicators

Interpersonal & People Skills: Ability provide constructive feedback and coaching to others. Ability to make recommendations on our current workflow and needed process improvements

Leadership: Ability to see the big picture and focus not only on results, but also on the processes used to reach those results

BONUS SKILLS
Advanced level (3+ years) of Software Engineering, Web Development, or Blockchain Development
ANTICIPATED RESPONSIBILITIES
Each hire may choose one or more of the following optional responsibilities. Necessary training and coaching is provided.
Portions of training will be sponsored by Google or other industry partners:
1. Staying abreast of industry news pertaining to Blockchain, DeFi, macroeconomic policy, protocol vulnerabilities, and/or Cybersecurity best practices:
- Writing in-depth research reports, whitepapers, analyst memos, blog posts and/or executive summaries on notable industry findings and on-goings
- Communicating findings with stakeholders via video conference calls (average length of each call is 30 minutes)
- Creating Visual aids (charts, graphs, etc.) to present complex numerical data in a easily understood way
2. Assisting with creating and/or giving Google Slide (or PowerPoint) presentations when needed
3. Communicating with our stakeholders and potential clients via email, Zoom, and/or Google Meet
- Attend, coordinate and lead our stakeholder and client outreach video conference calls
- Each conference call lasts an average of 30 - 45 minutes
- Craft reminder and follow-up emails to conference call attendees. We can provide you with templates if needed
4. Recording demo videos of our Software Products
Optional Responsibilities
6. Project Management: Making sure Engineering staff are meeting deadlines and take required training and certifications
7. Recruiting Support: Screening resumes and assisting with interviewing Software Engineering job candidates
- We will provide you with training resources on how to conduct tech interviews
CANDIDATE SCREENING CRTIERIA
To objectively assess your research and public speaking skills, we are asking interested candidates to participate in the following:
PHASE 1. Applicants are invited to a 45 minute information session to ask questions as well as to meet our hiring manager
PHASE 2: Write 3 Executive Summaries on 3 complex topics of our choice.
PHASE 3: Present one (1) of your PHASE 2 Exec Summaries in a 10-minute presentation to our team. You are encouraged (but not required) to use presentation aids such as Google Slides or PowerPoint
