Sports Equipment Management Intern

Status: Part-time Internship

Timeframe: Summer 2025

Hours: Hours will vary based on match & tournament schedule

Compensation: College Credit or hourly rate based on experience

Department: Operations - USL Two / USL W

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Reports to: Head Coach/General Manager

Kings Hammer FC is a proud and ambitious soccer club competing in both the USL League Two and USL W League. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Equipment Manager to join our operations team.

 

Position Summary

The Equipment manager is responsible for the preparation, organization, and maintenance of all team equipment and apparel, ensuring players and coaches have everything they need for training, travel, and match days. This role is crucial in helping create a professional environment on and off the field.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize team kits for training sessions and match days (home and away)
  • Maintain inventory of all apparel and equipment for both USL League Two and USL W squads
  • Coordinate laundering of training gear and match kits
  • Set up and break down equipment for training sessions and matches
  • Pack and transport equipment and kits for away games
  • Ensure all players have correct sizes and customized gear (numbers, initials, etc.)
  • Track usage and condition of equipment; report needs for replacements or repairs
  • Assist with locker room setup, cleanliness, and overall organization
  • Work closely with coaching staff to meet specific equipment needs
  • Support the club’s professional standards and match-day operations

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in a similar role in sports (preferably soccer) is strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management; must be punctual and dependable
  • Physical ability to lift and transport heavy bags and gear
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team as required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • A team-first mentality with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
