IT Infrastructure Analytics Intern

General

The IT Infrastructure Analytics Intern will be part of the Infra Site Reliability & Automation team in the Infrastructure Operations tower, which is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the company's infrastructure and applications.  This position is responsible for working closely with the team to provide analytics on infrastructure platforms, will participate in weekly intern cohort programming, and will collaborate with other interns on a group project.

Role Description:

Your primary responsibility will be to analyze metrics related to the reliability, scalability, and performance of the company's infrastructure and applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain monitoring and analytics solutions to identify and resolve issues proactively. Your role will involve analyzing system performance data, identifying trends, and implementing improvements to optimize system performance and availability.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports and dashboards to visualize infrastructure metrics and trends
  • Review analytics from platforms, tools, and systems to support IT operations, ensuring efficient and effective infrastructure data reporting
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and resolving issues to optimize operational efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, providing insights and recommendations to improve IT infrastructure and operational processes
  • Implement and maintain daily, and weekly reporting of Incident and Problem management data for effectiveness in meeting SLAs
  • Develop and deliver reports and dashboards to IT Operations stakeholders, providing key performance metrics and insights to support data-driven decision-making in IT operations

Job Knowledge Requirements:

  • Ability to analyze complex system performance data, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and software
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience in deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current students with an expected graduation date of May/June 2026
  • Current Undergraduate student of Computer Science with Business Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Sciences, or Data Visualization emphasis
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and documentation skills 
  • Prior experience with Microsoft technologies and scripting would be preferred
