Duties
Join Wilder's Public Policy Team as our next Community Equity Program Assistant. The Program Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting a welcoming and successful program experiences by providing outstanding administrative support. This role reports to the CEP Program Manager and supports day-to-day administrative functions from recruitment and program execution to alumni engagement. Duties include, but are not limited to maintaining program records, communications, vender selection, set-up and payments, and managing trainings logistics, such as space bookings, catering, materials preparation, speaker coordination, transporting coordination, program evaluation, and technology support. In addition, this role serves as a key contact for program alumni and represents the program at community events to recruit and build partnerships. As a member of the broader Public Policy Team, this role will also provide some support directly to the Public Policy Director.
Job Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, strong time-management and multitasking abilities, and proficiency with office applications, and aptitude for learning new software and systems. An ideal candidate is highly organized, detailed orientated, possesses strong written and oral communication skills, and is an administrative wizard. Candidates with prior experience in event planning, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and project, experience providing support to directors and supporting facilitators with in-person and virtual trainings is a plus. Interest in state level public policy is desired, but this not required
