Seasonal Laborer

STREET DEPARTMENT - SEASONAL

 

WAGE RANGE:                        $14.05 per hour

 

DESCRIPTION:

 

The City of Massillon Street Department is accepting applications for our Seasonal Laborer position. Applicants will perform a wide range of activities including (but not limited to):  mowing, spraying, line painting, trimming, trash pickup, etc.

 

The position is a part-time position that will not exceed 35 hours per week and runs from June to September.  Schedule is determined by Supervisor with hours from 7:30-2:30 Monday through Friday.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License 
  • Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent and some experience 
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, kneel, and climb throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Can safely lift up to 30 lbs. respectively throughout the working day
  • Demonstrate physical fitness
