Leasing Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our team. As the first point of contact for prospective residents, you will play a crucial role in showcasing our community, assisting with leasing inquiries, and ensuring a seamless move-in experience. If you have a passion for sales, exceptional people skills, and a knack for creating positive living experiences, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage prospective residents, providing tours of available units and community amenities.
  • Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Educate prospects on pricing, lease terms, policies, and available floor plans.
  • Assist applicants through the leasing process, including application completion, screening, and lease signing.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with current residents to ensure retention and satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve resident concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date leasing database, tracking inquiries, applications, and renewals.
  • Collaborate with the property management team to achieve occupancy goals.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed on competitor pricing, promotions, and trends.
  • Assist in coordinating resident events, marketing campaigns, and social media outreach.

Seasonality Expectations

Note: This is a seasonal position running from May to September. Ideal for students or individuals seeking summer work in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to walk the property, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in varying weather conditions during property tours.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in leasing, property management, sales, customer service or hospitality is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with diverse groups of people.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) is a bonus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to work weekends as needed
